Painted Ponies 2008
In
an endeavor to help us raise awareness of our organization
within the community and to assist us with fund raising, we
started the ‘Paint Your Pony’ Campaign.
The
campaign was officially started in April 2006 and since then
became one of our most reliable fund raisers. Numerous
businesses, schools, 4-H clubs, and individuals have already
painted ponies, with no restrictions as to what can be
painted, added or attached to the ponies.
We
have different sponsorship levels ranging from:
1)
Individual or Business – purchase a pony, paint it and hand
it in to be shown, then receive it back after the Harvest
Showdown: $60
|
 |
2)
Sponsorship – the individual or business purchases the pony,
paints it and then donates it back to PTRA to be sold in a
silent auction with proceeds going back to
PTRA: $50
3)
PTRA members, Local Schools and 4-H group - They purchase the
pony, paint it, hand it in to be shown, and receive it back
after the Harvest Showdown. $40
The
response, interest and awareness that this campaign has
brought have been a major boom to our organization. The
support that we have received from all of the different
organizations, artists, businesses and the Trail of Painted
Ponies has been greatly appreciated.
